Getting to Munsiyari
To get to Munsyari, you can travel by road or train up to Kathgodam.
From Kathgodam, you would need to drive up the regular hilly road to either Ranikhet or Almora – a three hours drive that takes you past Bhimtal and Bhowali. You can stop for the night either at Ranikhet or Almora.
From Ranikhet the access is through Someshwar, Kausani, Baijnath, Kapkot, Sama, Tejam, Birthi Fall to Munsiyari. From Almora the access is through Bageshwar, Vijaypur, Chaukhori, Thal, Nachni, Tejam, Birthi Fall to Munsiyari.
Trains from Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Bareilly connect to Kathgodam daily. People driving from Delhi can come directly to Ranikhet and stop for the night at Snow View Hotel, a Wayfarer related property. Thereafter, they may proceed to Munsyari through Kausani, Baijnath, Kapkot, Sama, Tejam, Birthi Fall to Munsiyari.

Munsiyari’s ideal seasons for visitation span from October to June, excluding the monsoon period from July to September.
Autumn, from October to December, provides settled weather and clear mountain views.
Winter, from January to March, brings snowfall and a chilly ambiance, attracting visitors seeking a unique experience.
From April onwards, as spring unfolds and summer takes hold, Munsiyari witnesses an increase in tourist activity. The weather remains generally pleasant during this time, with occasional pre-monsoon rainfall.
